DR SHAHARIZUAN SHAFIEI, born in 1964, is the Managing Director of Zabima Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd. He graduated in 1986 with a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri - Columbia, U.S.A. and completed his PhD in 2005. Earlier, in 1995, he obtained an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Hull, U. K. He started his career as an engineer with Petronas Gas in 1987. In 1991 he joined Bank Bumiputra Corporate Banking and was made the Head of Project Finance in 1994. He later moved to Mechmar Bhd in 1997 as General Manager Business Development to assist the company develop a 100MW independent power plant in Tanzania, Africa. In 2000 he joined Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd as General Manager, Infrastructure. He was promoted to Vice President in 2005 and elevated to the position of Chief Development Officer in 2008. He left the MRCB Group in 2009.
